The Spiral Sanctuary
Vision
The Spiral Sanctuary is my personal vision of a life lived in coherence—not as an idea held at a distance, but as something I long to inhabit with my whole being. I imagine a house and a piece of land in Andalusia where the different dimensions of life no longer need to be separated from one another; where home, work, care, relationship, solitude and creation can each have their own place, while remaining part of one living whole.

The Mansion That Breathes With You began as a story written for me. For a long time, it remained one of the most private expressions of a place that has not yet been built, but which already feels quietly familiar to me.
In the recording, I walk through the Sanctuary as I see it inwardly: along paths that do not hurry your arrival, beside water moving gently through the land, and through spaces that gradually become quieter and more intimate as you enter.
At its Stillpoint, nothing is demanded of you. There is nothing to perform, prove or become. It is not a temple, a monument or a destination to be reached, but an open space—empty enough for life to gather itself and take form in its own time.
I am sharing this recording because the vision has never been only about building a house. It carries something much more personal: the memory of how I want to live.
I long for a life in which I no longer have to divide myself between the many things I love and hold responsibility for; a life in which caring, leading, creating, resting and belonging do not pull me into separate worlds, but are allowed to remain in relationship with one another.
The house itself cannot simply be placed upon the land as a finished idea. It will need to grow in conversation with what is already there—with the contours of the earth, the movement of water, the changing light, and the life the land is able to hold. Its final form may be different from anything I can imagine today. The form is free.
What remains is the orientation beneath it: a place in which life is not reduced in order to fit the structure built around it; a place where people, architecture and landscape meet without one needing to dominate the others; a place where every part may remain fully itself and still belong to the whole.
Perhaps that is the deepest vision I carry for the Spiral Sanctuary: not a perfect world, but a coherent one—and a way of living within it with nothing essential left outside.
